There are many different approaches to cancer treatment. In most cases, treatment plans consist of a combination of several therapies. The specific characteristics of your cancer and your overall condition will determine the course of your treatment.

Cancer treatment professionals will work with you to determine if the goal is to cure your cancer, keep your cancer from spreading, or to relieve the symptoms caused by cancer. Depending on these factors, you may receive one or more types of treatment.
