The Speech Therapy Department at Opelousas General Health System provides
treatment to the adult and pediatric population presenting with medically
necessary needs such as:
Speech/Language Disorders (Aphasia, Apraxia, Dysarthria, Cognitive Deficits,
Head Trauma)
Voice Disorders
Swallowing Dysfunction
Therapy is provided on an inpatient and outpatient basis in a caring, private
setting. The therapists are highly trained with many years of experience.
All therapists have a Master’s Degree, certification with the American
Speech & Hearing Association and are licensed with the Louisiana Speech
& Hearing Association.
Services include prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of communication
disorders. Our goal is to treat you with specialized care that will improve
or restore your speech, voice or swallowing disorders.
