Opelousas General Health System Announces Appointment of Richard Urban to the Board of Trustees

Gina Bradley Tuttle, Chairman of the OGHS Board of Trustees has announced that the Hospital Service District No. 2 of St. Landry Parish Board of Directors has appointed Richard Urban to serve on the Opelousas General Hospital Trust Authority Board of Trustees. Mr. Urban, a Certified Public Accountant and owner of Richard Urban, CPA, will replace Charles Going, who recently resigned.
Urban was born in Chicago, IL, and raised in Opelousas. He and his wife of 45 years, Donna Young Urban live in Opelousas. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
Urban is a 1974 graduate of Opelousas High School and a 1978 graduate of University of Southwestern Louisiana, currently University of Louisiana at Lafayette. As a Certified Public Accountant, he has been serving the community of Opelousas for the past 39 years. He started his business, Rick Urban CPA, in 1992. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Opelousas for the past 9 years and is the immediate past president. In his spare time, he enjoys horseback riding with his wife and following his grandchildren in their sporting events.

Ms. Tuttle stated that Charles Going, Certified Public Accountant with Going, Sebastien, Fisher & LeBouef has served on the OGHS Board of Trustees since 2019 and has been a tremendous resource to the OGHS Board. His experience in financial planning has provided the Board with expert knowledge and advice to help further grow Opelousas General Health System. He will be greatly missed.
