Opelousas General Health System Announces Appointment of Kristi Manuel, Director of Clinical Operations

Lance Armentor, President & CEO of Opelousas General Health System, has announced the appointment of Kristi Manuel, who joined the Opelousas General Health System staff as Director of Clinical Operations effective July 8, 2024.

Her innovative approach and leadership will undoubtedly drive our organization towards achieving even higher standards of patient care and operational efficiency.” said Lance Armentor.

Manuel most recently served as Director of Clinical Operations for Savoy Medical Center, a 60-bed general acute care hospital in Mamou, LA. In this role, Kristi enhanced team collaboration and spearheaded operational strategies. Her expertise in strategic planning and employee management significantly boosted employee engagement and retention. Skilled in process improvements and performance evaluations, her leadership resulted in the successful establishment and expansion of outpatient clinics. Prior to this role, she served as the Director of Clinical Operations at Ochsner St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge, LA.

In her new role, Manuel will provide administrative support to physician practice management services, leaders, providers, and patients. She will also serve as an ambassador of the senior leadership team in overseeing day-to-day operations of multi-specialty medical practices by cascading overarching goals and strategic development of physician practice services.

 A native of Iota, Manuel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in General Studies from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is both a Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional and a Certified Practice Manager. In her free time, Manuel enjoys spending time with family, painting furniture, and beach vacations. Manual has three daughters and three grandchildren. She is also eagerly awaiting her fourth grandchild.
