Opelousas General Health System Partners with SSM Sleep Services for Expansion of Sleep Center Growth

Opelousas, LA – Opelousas General Health System is pleased to announce our partnership with SSM Sleep Services to assume the management of the OGHS Sleep Center. The goal of this partnership is to expand growth and increase capacity for servicing patients in our region. Dr. David Ware, Medical Director of SSM, has accepted the position as Medical Director for the OGHS Sleep Center. He will work in conjunction with fellow board-certified Sleep Medicine physicians, Drs. J.Y. Bordelon and Louis Nix, to maintain and continue a standard of excellence for sleep care within our community. In addition to initial or follow-up sleep consultations, Drs. Ware, Bordelon and Nix will provide ongoing sleep symptom management, equipment and supplies education and continued compliance monitoring to ensure an optimal experience for each patient.

Through our partnership with SSM, Opelousas General Health System will have the capability to perform overnight sleep studies 7 days a week with added daytime availability Monday through Friday. Additionally, the Sleep Center has expanded operations from two to four bed availability. This will provide faster referral conversions for our providers and reduced wait times for our patients.
