Opelousas General Health System Hosts
15th Annual Community Health Fair
(In Conjunction with “Celebrate Health Smoke Free” Event)

Opelousas General Health System would like to invite you to attend our 15th Annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at South City Park located at 1524 S. Market Street, Opelousas. It will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. This year’s health fair will be held in conjunction with the OGHS Foundation Healthy St. Landry “Celebrate Health Smoke Free” event.

OGHS along with other health related businesses will be offering free and low-cost screenings, educational demonstrations and medical information. We will also have health professionals and technologists on-site to analyze tests results and answer any questions you may have. Some of the free screenings provided include blood pressure, body composition, glucose, depression, leg vein screening and more. The low-cost screenings include Lipid Profile (Cholesterol Breakdown $8), TSH (Thyroid Screening $5), PSA (Prostate Cancer Screening $15) and A1C (3-month glucose average $15).

The” Celebrate Health Smoke Free” event will offer fitness classes and fun activities. On site will be the Second Harvest Makin’ Groceries Mobile Unit as well as the Communities of Color Mobile Unit. Participants will have access to the walking track and will be able to visit with Healthy St. Landry partners. Live Music will also be available by Wayne Singleton and Same Ol’ Two Step.
