Opelousas General Health System Welcomes Dr. Steve Rees, Physiatry Specialist

Opelousas General Health System is pleased to welcome Dr. Steve Rees, Physiatrist, to our medical staff. Dr. Rees will serve as co-medical director of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, located at our South Campus with Dr. Fernando Alemany, Internal Medicine specialist. Dr. Rees received his medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans, LA, and completed his Internship from Bayfront Medical Center is St. Petersburg, FL. He completed his Residency from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Rees is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has been practicing Physiatry in the Acadiana region for over 28 years, most recently in Lafayette, La. Prior to moving to Lafayette, Dr. Rees served as the medical director of Doctors’ Hospital Rehabilitation Unit for 12 years.
