Opelousas General Health System Foundation Receives Donation from Therapy Management Corporation

On March 2, the Opelousas General Health System Foundation received a donation in the amount of $4,885.00 from Therapy Management Corporation (TMC).  TMC is a Florida based company that provides physical, occupational and speech therapy services to patients in a variety of settings.  They have been in business for over 20 years. 

            Recently, one of their employees, Allison Wyble, who works as the area manager for South Louisiana, nominated Opelousas General Health System’s Foundation to receive a donation from their 501(c)(3) employee-giving fund, “Together Making Changes”.  This fund was developed to provide assistance to various initiatives supported by TMC team members, residents, and patients.  Their efforts focus on promoting positive health, education, spiritual, and financial outcomes for the people, organizations, and communities they serve. 

The OGHS Foundation was chosen to receive these funds because of the impact that Opelousas General Health System’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) staff made on the Wyble family during a family member’s recent health crisis. 

            “My family and I would like to sincerely thank the OGHS ICU direct care team for everything they did to help support us during such a difficult time.   Not only did they go above and beyond in caring for Gantt, they ensured that our family was taken care of at every turn. I am thankful to work for TMC, a company that holds “giving” as one of its’ top core values and couldn’t be more excited that OGHS was chosen for this recognition”, said Allison Wyble. 

            “We are very appreciative of this generous donation and extremely proud of the compassionate care that our staff provides to our most vulnerable patients.  It is gifts like these that help us to continue to support our mission of providing the highest quality of care to those we serve”, said Tracey C.
