Physician Spotlight: Dr. Supraja Yeturi, Rheumatologist

Where are you originally from?
I was born and brought up in India.

Why did you choose OGHS?
My husband got a job at Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Lafayette in Lafayette. After that, I started looking for jobs in and around Lafayette. I heard about an opportunity at OGHS and I took that without a second thought.

What is your favorite thing about working at OGHS?
I am very happy to be part of the great OGHS family. Everyone I work with and the community I serve is very nice, warm and welcoming.

What do you enjoy most about being a physician?
I enjoy being able to help. It is very rewarding. The smiles that I see during the follow up visits are priceless.

What would you like everyone to know about you?
I like nature and love to travel as much as possible. I like to cook and play with my kids, who are ages three and one and a half.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I try to spend time with my family and friends as much as possible; it gives me fuel to keep going. We go back to India and spend time with my parents during vacation time.
