Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) and Opelousas General Health System (OGHS) are proud to announce the addition of Dr. Kris Lindsay to our cardiology team at OGHS. Dr. Lindsay will begin providing world-class cardiovascular care to patients on October 1 at 1233 Wayne Gilmore Circle, Suite 450.
Dr. Lindsay is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology. He earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and received his bachelor’s degree in biology from McNeese State University. Dr. Lindsay also completed his residency in internal medicine at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas.
Dr. Lindsay previously worked as an invasive cardiologist at Louisiana Cardiology Associates in Baton Rouge. He also served as an ER/Urgent Care Physician at the Central Texas Veterans Hospital. He has earned numerous honors including the Alumni Award for Excellence in Anatomy, the Alastair H. Burns Physiology Award, and the Gold Probe Award for earning the highest grade in medical gross anatomy. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
Dr. Lindsay joins Drs. Clay Hammett, Kalyan Veerina and Robert Menuet II who also practice at CIS Opelousas in addition to nurse practitioners, Jason Leger and Stephanie Guillory.
