We provide a wide range of inpatient medical and surgical services and outpatient rehabilitation services, focused on improving bone health to help you regain your freedom of movement. Combining the expertise of orthopedic specialists with state-of-the-art technology, we offer medical and surgical services at our Main campus that include:

Our Team

Our team consists of specialists in orthopedic care, including board-certified physicians, registered and licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, case managers, physical therapists, respiratory therapists and other medical personnel. Members of your team are committed to doing their part to getting you back on your feet, providing expert, personal and compassionate care.   

Healing Environment

Our 18-bed unit is designed to promote healing by maximizing your comfort during your stay. All of the rooms are private, allowing for peace and quiet and family visits. Each room is also equipped with state-of-the-art orthopedic beds that reduce stress on pressure points, helping to minimize pain, as well as a computerized medication delivery system, and flat-screen televisions.

Referral Process

Other facilities seeking orthopedic care for patients with emergency and non-emergency orthopedic issues can refer patients for treatment at Opelousas General. Referring physicians can access our services by contacting our Emergency Department for transfer or by contacting the local orthopedic physician directly.
